Our Vision & Mission

The Mission of Breath Of Life Ministry

Welcome to Breath of Life Ministry, a vibrant community of faith serving the northwest suburbs of Chicago and extending our reach to communities in other countries. At the core of our ministry lies a deep commitment to the Great Commission, brought to life through a structured vision that nurtures every individual’s journey with Christ.

Our mission unfolds in four pivotal stages: Evangelize, Affirm, Disciple, and Send Out. Through these stages, we aim to create a robust, spiritually enriched community that actively contributes to extending the Kingdom of God.

1. EVANGELIZE

Our journey begins with Evangelization. We believe that every member of our church is called to be a soul winner, embodying the essence of evangelism not just in words but through the power of our testimonies and the miraculous. Our approach to evangelism is supernatural; we preach the transformative Word of God, testify to His goodness, and manifest His power through miracles, healing, prophetic insights, and words of knowledge. This foundational stage lays the groundwork for a life-changing walk with Christ.

2. AFFIRM

Following the awakening of faith, we enter the Affirmation stage. Here, we embrace new believers, providing them with the support and guidance needed to affirm their decision to follow Christ. Through dedicated follow-up, we ensure that each new believer builds a solid foundation in their new life in Christ, preparing them to join a discipleship group and further their spiritual journey within our community.

3. DISCIPLE

Discipleship is at the heart of our vision, where we focus on teaching, training, equipping, and activating each individual. Our objective is not only to impart knowledge but to provide comprehensive pastoral care, ensuring the continuous growth of each member. Through discipleship, we cultivate a deep, personal connection with God, empowering each person to live out their faith with conviction and purpose.

4. SEND OUT

The final stage of our vision is to Send Out. Empowered with the DNA of our House, our leaders are sent to either establish a House of Peace or mentor new discipleship groups. This stage is a testament to the spiritual maturity and readiness of our members to extend the Kingdom of God. Whether sent as deacons, elders, or ministers, each individual is equipped with the necessary gifts and power to make a tangible difference in the world.

The Vision: Our Beliefs & Practices

At Breath of Life Ministry, our faith and actions are deeply rooted in the Word of God, reflecting our commitment to living out the teachings of Christ in every aspect of our ministry. Our beliefs and practices form the foundation of our spiritual journey, guiding us in our mission to bring the supernatural power of God to this generation.

The Bible: The Infallible Word of God

We stand firm in the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and unchangeable Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation. It is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice, guiding us toward truth and righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

The Trinity: One God in Three Persons

Our faith acknowledges one God in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Together, they form a single divine essence, omnipotent and omnipresent in the lives of believers (1 John 5:7).

The Deity of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the Only Son of God, stands at the center of our faith. Born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, and resurrected on the third day, He now reigns at the right hand of the Father, offering salvation to all who believe (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).

Salvation: A Gift of Grace Through Faith

Salvation is a divine gift received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It is by grace, not by works, that we are saved, making Christ the sole mediator between God and mankind (Acts 4:12).

Sanctification: A Call to Holiness

We believe in sanctification as an instantaneous spiritual renewal and a progressive journey of becoming more like Christ in thought, word, and deed (Hebrews 12:14, Romans 6:19-22).

Baptism: An Outward Sign of an Inward Faith

Baptism is a testament to our faith in Jesus Christ. Through water baptism, we identify with Christ’s death and resurrection, and through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live out our faith boldly (Romans 6:4, Acts 1:8).

Laying of Hands: A Conduit of Blessing and Power

The laying on of hands is a practice through which blessings, healing, and the power of God are imparted from one individual to another, signifying the transfer of spiritual gifts and anointings (Acts 8:15-20, 1 Timothy 4:14).

The Ministry of Healing and Deliverance

We embrace the Kingdom’s power to heal the sick, cast out demons, and perform miracles as a testament to God’s dominion and love for His creation (Matthew 12:28).

The Commission to Preach the Gospel

Compelled by our faith, we are dedicated to spreading the Gospel locally, nationally, and internationally, using all means available to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:14).

Relationship with God

Our foremost value is our relationship with God. Loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength is our highest priority, shaping our obedience and worship (Luke 10:27).

The Family: A Cornerstone of Society

We uphold the family as a fundamental principle of God’s kingdom. Protecting the sanctity of marriage and nurturing family values are central to maintaining a moral and stable society (Genesis 1:27).

Passion for Progress

Rooted in God’s desire for our prosperity, we are committed to growth in all areas of life, embracing education, faith, and spiritual maturity as essential to our mission (3 John 1:2).

Generational Transfer

Embracing our tri-generational God’s model, we focus on imparting our spiritual, emotional, and material inheritance to our natural and spiritual offspring, ensuring a legacy of faith and blessing (Genesis 50:24).

Purpose and Legacy

We believe every person is created with a divine purpose. Discovering and fulfilling this purpose allows us to leave a lasting legacy and achieve true success (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

The Character of Christ

Our ultimate goal is to emulate the character of Christ, striving for goodness, integrity, humility, and holiness. Jesus is our example, whom we seek to imitate and worship until His return (Romans 8:29).
